O/S Daily Wednesday 19 February 2020
This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark and chilly start to the day - damp underfoot.
DH up and getting ready for work, both boys still in their pits, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge. Dinner last night was LO pork cooked in gravy, yorkshires, mash, then I added some peas and mushrooms and ready made roast potatoes that I found in the freezer - all eaten and enjoyed. Tonight dinner will be fish, chips, beans and veg.
Yesterday work was very quiet to start with then went very busy later - we'll see what today brings. It's my last working day for this week, I'll be back at work on Monday.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks and thanks NMLC for the new thread. It's actually dry here this morning but, wouldn't you know it, rain is forecast by lunchtime!
I think I could possibly feel a bit better at last this morning; so no more excuses for putting off jobs and spending all day in sloith mode! A quick flick round downstairs with the duster and vac must be my first job. Dust and bits everywhere!
Sparkle's shiny new cat carrier was delivered yesterday afternoon (a day early!) I am leaving it out for her to nose around in and inspect before the vets on Friday. Her original one is much less roomy so is being donated to DD in case she needs to transport Bobi Bunnykins anywhere. Although he has grown quire a bit in the 2 months since they got him he is never going to be a big rabbit. He's a little sweetie!
Not christened today's eats yet so will poke around in the freezers and see what appeals. Stocks out there are going down nicely (albeit slowly) and I can almost see what's what now!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all the poorlies and sad amongst us. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning all, managed to sleep in a bit today, thank goodness. Done my 10 mins Headspace meditation so feeling chilled. Kitty's fed and watered. OH won't be up for another half an hour so trying to be quiet. Might have an oaty pancake breakfast with Skyr, blueberries and honey then once he is up crack on with kitchen deep clean. Bright but cold day here and the birds are singing. Smashing. A big virtual hug to all of you that need support and tlc. I have had so much myself, want to pay it forward. X

Good morning folks. This morning I'm going for another deep tissue shoulder massage to ease more knots out. The first one took away the pain from tightness and replaced it with bruises, today's massage should be easier.Apart from that there's nothing on the planning sheet so I may do some serious book reading. 😃 I hope that all the poorlies and the sad are getting better. 🤗
Happy Wednesday to all. 🌞14 -
Good morning all, it's sunny here, but cold. When we came back from the quiz last night we were hurrying to get out of the cold, it was bitter.Yesterday was ok, did the usual Tuesday things apart from not having Dgs - DD and the two children are coming this morning and will stay for lunch.Glad you're feeling better TA, it's a good idea to leave the cat carrier out for Sparkle. Mind , our cats ran at the sight of the carrier once they knew where it took them! We had a large tabby tom cat, and it used to take three of us to get him in, the claws and teeth were lethal. The girls weren't so bad, they were smaller and easier to handle. Happy days!Do your Dgd's like the rabbit TA, has he settled in with them?I'm making a quick visit to a friend this morning before our family arrive, I'll go for 9.30. She is an early riser, so that'll be ok.Nelski, how are you doing? Thoughts to you and RR, Mr Happycas and others who aren't well.I'll sign off and get ready to face the day - take care folks16

Morning all
Dry here atm but more rain due later, yesterday I gave the lounge a really good clean pulled everything out and hoovered and moped behind then took the curtains down and washed them, I will iron them and get them back up today, I felt much calmer having done it. I then took pup to the park and she had a good run, came home lay down to watch a film and fell asleep ! Im just going with whatever my body is telling me and at the moment it wants to sleep!
Im hoping my brother will come today to paint the bathroom he is a bit flakey so if not I will just start on it myself in the next few days.
Spag bol for dinner tonight so will make that this morning and let it 'sit' it always tastes better that way, I have got a wash on but am struggling to get things dry as our TD is broken yet again, its just over a year old and they have already been out to fix it once, we phoned them again but they said we will have to pay £100 for them to come out this time and it might just be broken ! I am so cross it was over £300 and has only lasted a year ! I am going to post on their FB page today to see if I can get something resolved !
Right better get on have good days all xx13 -
Morning all and thank you for starting today's thread nmlc.
Dull and cold here but not raining so far. Birdfood put out and that squirrel has eaten most of it.
I'm not doing anything interesting today so will wish you all a pleasant day.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back13 -

Good morning
Bright and sunny here. Let's hope it lasts.
DH was discharged at 5 pm yesterday. Stones had been successfully removed. I'd gone back to the hospital at lunchtime as they didn't know how long it would take for sedation to wear off so it was a long afternoon. A big relief all round tho and thank you all for your support. It does help. Next job is removal of gall bladder but we'll cross that bridge later!
Red Ruby - your idea of resting and mine are very different! Might paint the bathroom indeed! Take it easy please.
Gers - your massage sounds hard core. I hope it helps in the long run.
Well, DH is still asleep so I'll enjoy my coffee and looking at the sunny garden
Happy sunny Wednesday14
