BA American Express 241 Voucher with other Amex Card for fees?

Hi guys,
i have the BA American Express Premium Plus card which comes with a yearly £195 fee. I just triggered the 241 voucher for BA flights with Avios. I was thinking of what the chance is to keep the voucher and cancel the BA Amex card, so i can get about £80-100 refunded of the fees. I also have the free Amex Rewards Credit card, which keeps my points active. I know with BA i need an american express credit card to use the voucher. Does it matter which Amex credit card in my name i use? Or does it have to the the exact BA Amex card that i have to use the vouchers?
Thanks,
FS

I'd ask over at Head For Points, but I recall reading yesterday that your voucher is valid even if you cancel the card.
I'd reread your terms and conditions because of what you say about your points - your Avios are good for as long as you maintain an active BA/Iberia/Aer Lingus/Vueling member account, no? Whereas your Rewards Credit Card is for earning American Express Membership Rewards points, which can be converted into Avios, but are most definitely NOT Avios.
You're probably better off downgrading to the free BA Amex card, which earns less Avios per £1 spent but lets you retain the 2 for 1 voucher (so I recall).

My understanding is that if you cancel the card after you have made a booking with the voucher then the booking is safe. However, if you cancel the card before you have made a booking, ie: the voucher is still unused in your BA Exec Club account, then the voucher may be voided.

As suggested above, you can downgrade your BAPP card to the free BA blue card. You will still receive a pro-rata refund of the card membership fee and the voucher will be safe.

You can use any American Express to pay the taxes and surcharges when you make a booking with the voucher.

I've been playing the AMEX/BA game for years now and in the past, once the 241 voucher was showing in BAEC, I always downgraded the BAPP card to the free BA one and got a pro-rata refund of the BAPP fee. You can do this simply by applying online for the free card and input your existing BAPP card number where it asks you if you hold other AMEX cards. At this stage, they usually refer my application, but within a few days I get the confirmation my application was successful and they automatically downgrade the BAPP to the free card.
Remember, the BAPP 241 voucher is only valid for 2 years so make sure you use it by then. Make sure you have enough Avios to make use of it as you must pay the full Avios fare + taxes.
I've paid the taxes using a non-BA AMEX card before and not even my own account (on my wife's a/c). No problems there.
