What can i do? Forbidden planet half an order

I purchased the following items on pre-order from forbidden planet back on 12th oct, well aware that all items were due for release mid november. I had my card charged £18.67 on the 20/11 which was for the two angel figures and the whole postage amount £7.45!
My point now is that on my invoice they state they have charged the full postage because it then covers the next lot of figures to be sent out, but why should i pay the postage for figures that i havn't even been sent yet?
To make matters worse they didn't even bother to inform me that neither of the 2 remaining figures will not now be available untill the end of jan! So what do i do? the rest of my order is not good to me after xmas. They won't answer any of my emails.
Have they broken any rules with regards to charging my card for services i havn't recieved ie 2 figures should be £5.80 p&p acording to their website and when i ordered them it was mid nov release date. Needless to say i wont be ordering again, but how do i cancel and get some of the postage back. To be honest i seen the figures i got sent in the shop a week earlier! They havn't even taken my discount coupon in to consideration either.

I've had similar problems, I ordered something on the 23rd of november 2010. Today is the 23rd feburary 2011, so 4 months have past and i still have no product.
Whenever i email them i get messages back saying it's out of stock or they are waiting for it to get to them, or if i dont like it to cancel my order etc, they are so not helpful and dont seem to care about their customers at all.
I will not be using them again and have also heard alot about them taking peoples card details and using them for fraud. Which is great to find out AFTER ordering
Did you ever resolve yours?0 -

Was it a pre-order or limited edition ?blahblah1234 wrote: »Whenever i email them i get messages back saying it's out of stock or they are waiting for it to get to them, or if i dont like it to cancel my order etc, they are so not helpful and dont seem to care about their customers at all.
So cancel you order and source it elsewhere. If they are having problems getting it, they are having problems getting it.blahblah1234 wrote: »I will not be using them again and have also heard alot about them taking peoples card details and using them for fraud. Moral of the story - check websites BEFORE ordering. Also, accusing companies of fraud can get you personally sued, that's maybe something to think about...0 -
Forbidden Planet do have a poor reputation for customer service and the delivery prices are very expensive. If you ordered in Novemeber and it isn't in stock, I think the liklihood of ever seeing it is pretty slim. I would definitely cancel if I hadn't received it within a few weeks. With the OP, I would think they are obliged to refund both the item cost and postage cost too as they have failed to supply it.
HMV are a bit like this too. They keep sending emails saying they are awaiting more stock, then after a few months send one cancelling your order.0 -
Hang on a mo, lindseykim13 wrote this back in 2007 so I'd like to think she'd got her figures or her money back now!
For anyone wondering about ordering from Forbidden Planet though, don't. I'm still waiting for a Christmas present ordered two years ago!!
EDIT- Sorry blahblah1234, just realised you're after help! What card did you use? I don't know much about this so someone might need to correct me but you might be able to arrange a charge back, as they haven't sent you the items you paid for?
I would also try writing them a letter, sent recorded delivery. Might work better than emails. Speak to http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/ for help in writing it.0
