Well, I hope we all keeping safe, just an update from me. Well into lockdown and isolation, I've managed to save some good cash.

My Credit Card is currently £239, down from over £2,700 at the end of March!. Of that £239, Ryan Air owe me £115, but for the time being are refusing to pay the money back, so I'm assuming the debt as mine.

I have £240 in savings, and also £540 in Crypo Currency.

So I shall see how I deal with May spending wise, and I hope to then use my savings to pay off the last of the credit card and then I can take the £115 Ryan air back as credit down the line, and also I have my Crypo savings!!

    It's all going well!

Well a few more weeks in lock down has been great to me. It's unbelievable how much money you can save.
As I'm at the back of the RyanAir queue for a refund, I'm not hoping for my £115 back soon.
So as of today I had £246 in my credit card, and £230 in cash savings. I've paid my credit card off now fully, so tomorrow for the first time in a long time the balance will be zero.
I can't tell you how refreshing that feels, I will NEVER go back to that.
So, over the next few months I'm due two sets of refunds, £115 from Ryan Air and £800 from Lufthansa, so £915.

I have £640 in my Crypocurrency wallet, which fluctuates between £540 and £660 depending on the price.

I have no over draft and nothing on my catalogue account. I've asked them to reduce me to £50 credit, instead of £500 to stop me getting into trouble again.

This is a really great feeling knowing I have c£600 in savings, and £915 coming back to me!

We even have a £1000 float in the joint account.

We plan to isolate in June as well, where I should be able to saving another £500 or so in the joint account and £500 or so of my own wages, taking my savings to around £900 available and £915 due back to me from airlines!

    WOW!

Thank you so much for this forum, it really gave me the kick I needed and educated me on managing money more effectively.

You are doing really well. Glad the forum is helping. Building your EF to 3-6 months wages would be a good option too.

Just wanted to drop back into this for those that helped me and offered support along the way.

I'm still 100% debt free - and it feels great!!!

My £640 savings in my Cryptocurrency wallet grew to £3,300, and I didn't cash out, it's now suffering at £1,900 - gutted. however, I'm in it for the long game and there is talk of it making another run - so who knows.

We have a 3 month E-F in our joint account now - never had this before, which is great and in addition I have £1200 separate savings in my name, and the wife has £2,700 in separate savings!

So everything is feeling good right now!
    Great forum!
