Approved Council Plans - Still Disputed

I have an approved council plan for an extension, but for some reason the person from the council visited the neighbors after they logged the initial dispute and it all got approved by the council in the end. However the person who went to the neighbors measured up wrong and told them the replacement wall would be only 400mm higher that the current wall. Which it isn't, its going to be more like 700mm higher as it needs to connect to the existing house flat roof. It seems they measured from the neighbors side which is around 700mm lower than our property instead of coming into my house and measuring from the existing floor its connecting to.
As I say the plans are approved but they are still adamant that its not going to be as high as it needs to be as the council person said so.
Anyone had anything like this before? as demolition of the old wall has started and council don't seem to get it when I speak to them.

If the council misled the neighbours that's a matter between the council and the neighbours. You only need to follow the approved plans.

As long as you are not bothered/afraid of disgruntling the neighbour, that was mislead by the council employee, you go right ahead. You have nothing to worry about from the council, if you follow the plan that they approved.

The neighbour can whinge all they like - PP has been granted, according to the submitted plans.

If they don't like it, the only "dispute" that means anything is the official appeal process they can take it through.
