SAR on CCJ?

A while ago, I got some court papers about a HSBC credit card debit that I know nothing of, haven't acknowledged or paid anything.
Filled in the defense part and sent them off by registered post.
Never heard anything until about 3 weeks ago (transferee to Hoist Holdings and a f&f settlement figure of £3k rather than £6k), and after checking my Experian report, I've now got a CCJ.
At this point, can I still put in a SAR (or whatever) as they seem to have ignored my defence and it's been close to a year since I heard anything.
Probably should have done this initially, but at the very least, I would like to know exactly when I apparently opened this card, made payments or whatever.

You can submit a SAR (or whatever) whenever you want.
They'll only decline it if you do it excessively.1
