How to get white spirit smells out washing machine

Any advice of how to get strong smells of white spirit out of the washing machine, we have tried everything so far including soda crystals more than once, a dettol cleaning wash, baking soda white vinegar all of this more than once over the past 3 days and all still really strong smells of white spirit not being able to use the machine, any help would be great full.

It should go after a few hot washes. So now is the perfect excuse to run a few loads of bedding and towels on 60c cycles.

a jug of white spirit was accidentally spilled onto my tablecloth and I stupidly put it in the washing machine with a load of towels which i’ve now had to bin as they’re so bad but now left with machine smelling of it quite badlyroddydogs said:How did it get there?0 -

we have tried this with old towels several times and they come out smelling of the white spirit and the machine still smelling?

A great way to get rid of the white spirit smell is to buy a new/another machine, job done.
Not very MSE but then there will be no more white spirit smell.
