I could argue that i was dropping off my belonging however its a 10min walk from the car park, is that a good enough excuse?

Yes.  The Judge and the rep won't calculate how close the living halls were, and maybe you were dropping off books to the Uni library anyway?  Think about it.  Use Jopson v Homeguard.

Your defence is confusing, this makes no sense to me:

8.3. The Defendant also disputes that the Claimant has incurred over £500 legal representatives’ costs.
8.4. The Defendant has the reasonable belief that the Claimant has not incurred over £500 costs
to pursue an alleged £80 debt.
8.5. Notwithstanding the Defendant's belief, the costs are in any case not recoverable.
8.6. The Claimant described the charge of £80.00 "legal representative costs" not "contractual costs". CPR 27.14 does not permit these to be recovered in the Small Claims Court.

£80 or over £500?    What do you mean?

Also this defence is not like the one I posted last week in a new thread for people to download and change the red bits.  You should use the newer one from this forum (it is so new it's not in the NEWBIES thread till it's tested by a few people first) - but be aware not to ask for a link.

I will never give a link to a thread that you know when it was written, and by whom!

  • just want to know is this acceptable, also another update. 2 of the tickets are based on me entering and leaving a car park, no evidence of actual parking.

That's normal with ANPR PCNs and is not a defence.

Normal for the typical parking firm scam.  It's done to scare people and to make more money than they are allowed to recover in court, because people panic and pay.

If the signs said £100 then 5 PCNs is £500 even if you lost, plus £60 + £25 hearing fee and maybe fifty quid legals.

should i mention the fact that 2 of the 5 fines are ANPR and i wasnt actually parked up i was waiting for someone.

Yes, that goes in #17 (no ''I'' or ''me'' though) and change the first phrase of #16 of the template, if you (instead of citing the POFA) want to admit to driving then say so.
