Insurance company won’t pay

I had a car accident in a Porsche Macan in December the Macan was written off. The claims management company agreed a sum to
compensate us but I can’t get the money out of them. We are having to get a bank loan to buy a replacement car and are overdrawn at the bank and getting into debt
Hadleigh Claims Management say the cheque is ‘so high’ that a senior manager needs to sign it. I have complained to the financial ombudsman but what else can I do? Is my experience typical or just bad luck?
ideas welcome

I don’t understand, why is a claims management company paying you? Shouldn’t it be an insurance company , either your own or the third parties.

No great surprise at all that a large amount needs to be signed-off internally. Why that takes more than a working day is another question.

If you owned the car outright with no finance secured on it then just wait until they send the cheque to you, hire a car for a few days in the meantime.
You being overdrawn and getting into debt is not relevant to this claim...stop spending money if you dont have it.1
