Hi my is disabled and his OT has written to our council asking he be moved to a more suitable property but we are concerned about how much it’s going to cost for a removal company. I asked my council about a disabled removal grant but was told they stopped that grant about 4 years ago told us to apply for a DHP once we have received an offer of a property.
does anyone know what benefits are taken into account? As they want a run down of our expenses. My husband is unable to work and I am a carer for our daughter, we receive; IR ESA support group, PIP, CA, DLA middle care, HB, CTC, CB

They will look at all of your income and all of your expenditure and then decide whether it is reasonable to help you. It is, as the name implies, completely discretionary.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1

It also depends on the time of year and whether there's anything still left in the discretionary pot.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
