is there a free website in the UK where i can enter a date of birth and get a current list of people born on that date?

I don't want to disillusion you from the start, but I think you may struggle.
this page may give you some pointers, but unless you know what he changed his name to, I fear you will be fighting a losing battle.
The thing is if you want to hide yourself by a name change, it is very easy to do in the UK.
It may help if you know what area he is in, but even that is possibly going to be a long shot, simply because people move about so much these days0 -

if he has changed his name without a deed poll registeration, then it will be almost impossible to find out.
afaik there is no database in the uk with that sort of info. i doubt even the government has one.
even the child benefit office cannot get that info off their own database, without a huge cost implication!Get some gorm.0 -
Hi,
Births, marriages and deaths are date ordered, but once a person changes their name only government agencies maintain comprehensive lists of previous names.
These are not in the public domain, or should not be!
