Theresa Tortoise

I was privileged to own Theresa from February last year. She was an unsolicited gift from a friend. However, reluctantly I rehomed her in October as I was not at all confident about hibernating her and couldn't bear the thought of her dying during hibernation, as many tortoises do, and would have worried all winter.
I rehomed her to a lady who is a very experienced tortoise owner. She has several tortoises, one of whom has been in the family for fifty years, and two more they have had for ten years. She put Theresa to bed on 28th October last year.
Today I have had an update saying that as from yesterday, Theresa is awake again and has been busy munching tomatoes. I'm so glad I made the right decision to rehome her. It was the right decision for her and now she has some friends to play with too.
Just posting to remember my dear little friend with the sweet face. May her garden always have many dandelions.
Picture of her meeting one of her new friends. She is the little one.
