Arcam Solo Music external IR receiver help

Hi all,
I have an Arcam Solo Music player located behind a cupboard door so I'm looking for an external receiver to enable me to control the players' functions with the remote WITHOUT having to open the cupboard door.
The Arcam has an IR 'in' socket at the back of the unit. In the instruction manual it states that the unit is designed for a 'modulated' signal, so an IR receiver that 'de' modulates the signal will not work. Also in the manual recommends an IR receiver from xantech.com.
Having looked at their website I'm unsure what type I would need to go for! The 'Dinklink' kit serves FOUR standalone units and is about £250 which is way more than I want to pay and plus I just want to control the Arcam and nothing else.
Can anyone recommend anything suitable and reasonably priced?
Thanks again.

Arcam's suggested manufacturer's model (I presume it is the ML95 with connecting block and a 12v psu) would seem to be in very short supply at the moment - very high prices (as you note) and currently unavailable on common sales routes such ax Amazon uk. It is available from the states at a cost!!!There should be other suppliers/manufacturers of similar ir extenders covering the same frequency band. They are after all receivers ic and amplifiers of a rather basic nature and so ought to be low cost in just the tens of pounds. It might take a bit of searching to find one off the shelf....so why not phone up Arcam for advice in the first instance?1
