Yes. Definitely get a qualified person for this type of works. Looks like the previous owners overboarded the ceiling with wooden cladding. Perhaps after a leak from the bathroom above?0

Don’t worry. I have a fantastic electrician. In fact he’s coming around tomorrow evening to get an idea of what I need. I’m debating chipping off loose plaster only and using the suspended beams that the current ceiling is attached to for spot lights0
