Odd bathroom layout
Comments

@phoebe1989seb the thing is the bathroom is also odd as a result of this layout, because the 'wardrobe' height is all you get in half the bathroom.

Not much bothered by the height thing.
There was a makeover show n the telly for a family of maybe seven kids where they built a low-ceilinged bathroom and put the kids beds in a roofspace mezzanine up a ladder in the rooms on either side of it.
My biggest concern was the thought of nine people fighting to use the sole toilet/bath/shower.
One of the most efficient uses of space I've seen was a pair of adjacent bedrooms with what looked like built-in cupboards above or below the beds until you realised it was a disguised pair of bunk beds but each bed was in its own room. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker1 -
Sounds creative but I don't envy anyone trying to sell something like that in the UK.zagubov said:One of the most efficient uses of space I've seen was a pair of adjacent bedrooms with what looked like built-in cupboards above or below the beds until you realised it was a disguised pair of bunk beds but each bed was in its own room.1 -
ShipleyGlen said:@HampshireH - that's the back door actually. Front door goes into the kitchen. Not great but quite common in this area, we live in a terrace like this at the moment, with no hallway whatsoever. Definitely a pain when you have visitors but strangely I don't find it a nuisance - it's amazing how quickly you adapt to various imperfections if you want to. Obviously if I could afford a small mansion with a tennis court in my garden like this one just round the corner - www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-68038575.html - then I'd go for that one instead ;-)
That's the odd thing about houses, isn't it? I wouldn't.
The one you're considering has character and potential - the 'small mansion' looks like an over extended boring beige new build that, if you gave it to me for nothing, I'd turn around and put straight on the market...
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

The first floor bathroom doesn't bother me at all.I agree that adding a shower to the top floor and losing the fifth bedroom for a more luxurious master suite would make it better for the average family.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I love it. The bathroom wouldn't bother me at all. Love the two attic bedrooms too.
