smart GU10 fire safety

I'm looking to buy a bunch of smart GU10 bulbs. I'm curious if anyone knows about the safety of them. I'm mostly interested in temperature & fire. What should I be looking out for?

If anyone has suggestions for other bulbs which are ESP8266 / Tuya based and would be considered safer I'd be interested.
I'm not interested in debating the merits of Zigbee, Phillips Hue, etc.

You would be better off using sonoff basic units and ordinary GU10 LED lamps, These are usually wired in groups anyway so less smart switches required. The sonoff units work with both Alexa and Google Home and the eWeLink app is well developed.

Two people I work with put GU10 fittings in. One person some years ago, had some left over and gave the fittings to person 2 for his led light set up.

Person 2 got the electrician around two months ago, who said that these uncovered fittings can no longer be fitted, and person 2 has to buy them with a metal cover due to the risk of fire. So under the impression the holder should be fireproof rather than the bulb. In my eyes this is below what he bought due to his description of "having a metal bit around it and back that goes into the ceiling" 

5w is very low power, personally doubt anything bad will happen, but cheap chinese good generally a bit hit and miss both quality and safety wise.
