Thought I'd warn people that I tried changing my landline from BT to Sky late last year and I ended up without a landline for nearly a month, with Sky blaming BT for the problem and vice-versa. In the end, I was so frustrated, I let BT keep the line.

Can I ask, what was the reason for changing the landline?0

Our Sky + box more-or-less stopped working and Sky don't make those boxes any more. So I contacted Sky and they offered me what seemed to be a good priced package of landline, superfast broadband and Sky Q, which I accepted. The Sky Q box was installed with no problem and works fine. However, the part of the order for Sky to acquire the landline and upgrade the existing Sky broadband to superfast broadband was rejected. I get the impression that having the landline and broadband from the same supplier tends to work out cheaper but if one gets all this hassle, forget it!

I've just switched from BT to Sky (no TV only Broadband and landline) and the changeover happened with minimal disruption. Mind you BT haven't yet resolved the final bill so there may be fun to come.0
