Landlord repairs

Hello!
I am just wondering at how long a landlord has to complete repairs, also what repairs are reasonable.
I reported that my waste pipe to our shower is no longer attached in November, the plumber didn’t attend until January and stated it would be a big job as the shower would need removing and the tiles may break causing the whole shower room to be refitted, but since then I haven’t heard anything since. I have no chaser it up with the estate agent after the landlord saying to go through him personally but he hasn’t been following anything up. How long can we give him to do this work, it’s been nearly 4 months and we pay rent for a house with a shower room (I’m 27 weeks pregnant and having a bath is getting more and more difficult so a shower would be convenient).
Our fence has now broken down due to storm Dennis, but I’m worried that he’s going to take ages to sort this, but me and my neighbours are basically garden sharing now which is not ok!
Also, would asking him to replace a bath panel be unreasonable - our bathroom is very very outdated and the bath panel is slowly moulding!

Also, with an unuseable fireplace, and it states that in our contract, does the landlord have to ensure it’s appropriately blocked up? As it’s currently got a box and bags up there but the storms have budged these and now the window blows down it?
We privately rent and it’s not a cheap house so would expect him to sort issues as quickly as possible but it doesn’t seem that simple!
Thank you!

When did you first report the problems in writing (paper, stamp, envelope etc) to the address in your tenancy agreement for serving notices?

It’s all done by online reporting - I’ve got the reference number and i reported it on the 3rd November 20190

Where are you.
In Scotland you can report it to the council or through the Housing and Property Chamber which is part of the Scottish court service- their decisions have the same force as a court decree.

If the L cannot face ripping out the whole shower would it not be feasible to cut an access hatch in the ceiling below? If done carefully the same cieling piece can be refixed and will be reasonably invisible with some filler/paint.0

Unfortunately it’s on the ground floor so this can’t be done:(anselld said:If the L cannot face ripping out the whole shower would it not be feasible to cut an access hatch in the ceiling below?
