Hi all just to check is an e signature OK for the defence? Having printer issues0

I wrote earlier......you have until 4pm on Monday 16th March 2020 to file your Defence.Plenty of time.
Others have mentioned other ways of showing a signature - photographing a signature on a very white piece of paper and embedding the image is one way.
PdfEscape has also been suggested.2 -

Hi all,
A paper DQ has now been received. Just wanted to check, as this does not mention you can return this by email, but note that KeithP in post #2 of this thread said it can be emailed - if it's fine to just email as per and to the same email as the Defence and no need to physically post also? Also KeithP mentions in the sam post that after this to send a copy of DQ to the Claimant. Wanted to again check whether it's fine to email the claimant (perhaps using the email used to obtain the SAR). Is it essential to even send to claimant? The questions above are getting asked as in this current climate it is difficult for us to venture out to the post office.0 -
as KeithP points outyou emailed the defence to the CCBC and you email the DQ to the same email address too, no need to fill in the posted paper copy of the DQ you received or returning it by post, apart from posting a copy to the claimant as well (you can only email them if they have allowed it in writing, otherwise its snail mail)NO you cannot use the DPO email that was used for a SAR for a DQ or anything else other than data queries or correctionsso email to the CCBCsnail mail to the claimant and get a free certificate of posting (not signed for)2

When we say send a copy to the Claimant we mean email their solicitor, if they are using one.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks they are using a solicitor, do I need to post a copy to them though? Or is it just courtesy.Coupon-mad said:When we say send a copy to the Claimant we mean email their solicitor, if they are using one.0 -
Have they (the solicitor, who is named as the claimant on the court papers) previously communicated with you by e-mail? If so, it is fine to use e-mail, if not, you will find the address for serving documents to the claimant on the claim form.jstark said:

No it's not just a courtesy.
If they are using a solicitor then you reply to the solicitor (only). That's why they are using one!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You file and serve the court AND the claimant, via their solicitor, with all documetns from now on.
Failing to do so can cost you.2
