Dear all,
So I would like an estimate cost for a mordern 6m extension from living room/kitchen into the back garden.
I have estimated around 40K mark- is that too much/too less/just right.
Thank you
Ren

6m x 24m will be more expensive than 6m x 5m (assuming everything else is equal).
Have you got a design or plans drawn up?"We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -
Hi looking some advice on dormer extension - it is a three bed semi-detached bungalow which already has a full sized dormer at rear and a small dormer at the front. The attached neighboring bungalow has a larger dormer than ours and i am looking to extend it to at least the same size as their, potentially bigger if i can get planning permission. I obviously am going to need to get an architect around to draw up and do calculations etc but not sure how much this sort of thing i would be looking to pay. I have been quoted around about £800 for a package (not sure if that includes any construction calculations), but given then is just a front extension to an existing dormer, i'm not sure if that is high or about right in today's market.
Any guidance on around the price mark i should be expecting?
If anyone knows any "Typical" guidance on how big councils typically allow on sizes of dormers that would be great too. I have heard in the past that councils can allow dormer size's up to 75% population of the visible roof at the front, although i do know it depends on a council by council basis. Certainly everyone in my street is having new dormers added, so they must be approving front dormers to be built
Thanks in advance,
