Wet and windy here but not as bad as they said, there is a bit of a river running down the road but not too bad, we are due rain all day again though so might get worse.
I have a bit of brisket for dinner today I will put it on to slow cook after this with onions and carrots I shall make gravy out of the liquid which is very tasty, Im not sure if we will eat at two ish or early evening, depends on if we fancy the pub later.
Thanks for all the good wishes for tomorrow I am a bit anxious but I keep thinking it cant be as bas as those 52 biopsy's !

Morning all. It's very bright outside with strong buffeting winds. Once again this wee corner of the country seems to have been skimmed by the storm though I think more is to come. The TV pictures from Yorkshire are horrendous.DM's friend was mightily delayed yesterday as his Tesco delivery was over four hours late. A 'computer problem' apparently. Anyway, once he was here they both enjoyed a game of scrabble and then a crossword. I'd laid on an array of cakes and cherry pie which he, at least, tucked into.No real plans for today as the forecasted weather put me off, now another day of doing 'something close to nothing' as the Prince song puts it.Keep at it NELSKI!Missing a lot of people from here, perhaps it's the new system which has defeated them, such a shame.Happy Sunday to everyone.13

Hi everyone
Feeling a bit sorry for myself. Still feeling ill..really sore and achy though the spots in my throat could be a little better...it's hard to see! I'll go back to the doctors tomorrow to see if I'm still supposed to be feeling this bad. I've read that shingles can last a few weeks but there's less information when the spots are in your mouth.
I rang eldest DD in Sweden to say I really don't think I'm going to feel well enough to go and visit on Wednesday - she's not too happy as she was obviously looking forward to it, but it can't be helped. At the minute I can't even be up out of bed for half an hour without feeling exhausted.
Hope everyone else has a more cheerful day!

Hi, just a quick pop in as I have had a tummy bug and still feel like a wrung out dish cloth. I wish the aching would stop too. ( Mr Fix It had it first and just had to share
) I've had to put Dad off from Sunday lunch, although he says he wouldn't have come anyway as we're on a red weather warning for today. I'm hoping to be able to keep a plain jacket potato in my tummy later on, sorry TMI.
RedRuby hope all goes well tomorrowSending healing vibes to all the poorlies, but I'm keeping some for myself too today.Take care allnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14 -
Take care of yourself dp1 and you too taff. I think you're wise not to go to Sweden dp.
Rainy here, I've just made a pan of scotch broth from last weeks leg of lamb leftovers and one of leek and potato. This afternoon I'll make sweet potato, squash and lentil stew to take down to Laura's tomorrow. I've also promised her a carrot cake.
We've got our first paying guests in the Yorkshire house. Steve checked the remote thermostat and found they'd turned the heating up to 29.5 degrees! It's not a cold house, we managed perfectly well during last weeks frosty conditions with the thermostat at 21 and I don't like being cold. Oh well, they go tomorrow and steve will be able to turn it back down remotely, I just hope the fee covers the gas they've used.

How high Snoozer? Goodness, I would melt!
Afternoon all
Slow start here, I had a shower and laid on the sofa reading, quite enjoyed it. I've nowhere to be and nothing pressing so a relaxing day it is.
I think I've a chest infection, still coughing, no energy and a sore chest and back, must be falling apart!
Hope you feel better dp1, shame you can't go and visit your DD.
Won't be long until you can make your bed again Nelski, you see.
Happy Sunday, take care. XX10 -
