WILL CHANGING DISTRICT (BOROUGH?) MEAN SWITCHING FROM ESA TO UC & WILL I GET LESS?

WIZARD

I am currently on housing list and likely soon will move nearer my mum, I am an autistic and dyspraxic adult mild apparently diagnosis says.
I am reading online bits and pieces that say if you move district like I would be I would have to move to universal credit I currently recive esa limited thing is it work related activity group or something???
Any way I am frightened I may move and then they make me go to universal claim and I end up homeless not enough housing benefit to pay for a one bed flat I am currently in 2 bed flat, Can anyone tell me would there be any reduction in my claims for esa or housing I am 37
The major reason for moving is the distance from my mum and reliance on her I know it's bad at 37 on getting shopping as have bursitis and socroliac injury is it some waist bone thing from motorcycle crash and also issues with both ankles arthritis in both badly deformed from accident to, it means I cannot walk any length really or stand up or bend for any short or prolonged period, yet still doesn't fit the criteria for pip, though should, I just worry moving out could drop me back in a hostel that I cannot do no way am I going bedsit or hostel again.

If you move to a different local authority you will not gerally be able to claim Housing Benefit at your new address except in limited situations. See https://www.gov.uk/housing-benefit
If you need help with rent and cannot claim Housing Benefit you would need to claim UC which would end any income based ESA.
If you are in the ESA Work Related Group you will probably receive the same money on UC as on ESA for your living costs. The amount of help you get with rent may change depending or whether you obtain social housing or rent privately (this would be true even when if you were still claiming Housing Benefit). However it might be sensible to take your paperwork to an advice agency so they can give you appropriate advice and do an accurate benefit check.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
