I have an old SAGEM TV Recorder box which with my new TV, usually records but not on series link always . I am going to buy a new one but can I take the old recordings off of the hard drive of the recorder box, which I wish to keep, to either another hard drive or to the new recorder box in one movement or do I have to move the recorded items individually. I have seen an application on it which says Video Exportation out and Video Importation In. So assume it can be done individually but not sure about en bloc.

I tried to copy one program to a data stick and it took 12 mins and after all that didnt work as apparently in the wrong format, so that is not a practical solution. Just a thought could I remove the hard drive from the recorder and then using a caddy and cradle and download the whole drive to my pc then copy that to an external hard drive. Or as a 2nd thought buy a new recorder and then swap the hard drives over putting the old one in the new machine0

The answer to all your questions is probably No ... unless the new device can read the saved file format of the old files.0

Trying another angle. My Sagem Recorder Box model no DTR67320T worked perfectly when connected to my old TV via Scart lead. New TV does not have scart facility so I connected the box via HDMI to HDMI 3 on the TV. Now it will not record series link eg 2 Corries on the same night or BBC and ITV at the same time. Sometimes it fails to record at all. Could I use a converter of Scart to either USB or HDMI, available on line and both sockets on the TV, and reset the box to factory settings. Would or could that overcome the problem. Finding .a SAGEMCOM support site to ask them is proving very difficult as I believe they have sold the company. Many thanks0

The Scart and HDMI are simply outputs to the tv. They will not affect the recordings or series links.Make sure the aerial and it's connections are secure. A factory reset might help if there has been some sort of electronic glitch.1
