Have no access to my post box

Hello,

I moved into my flat in September 2019. I was meant to be given a post key when I moved in but was never given one so I havent been able to access any of my post since then. Every time I try and talk to the landlord I just get ignored. It is now February 2020 and I still have no post key and dont know what to do. Is there some sort of law against this?

Hope you all can help
Thanks

Don't talk, write.  I'd mention something about holding them liable for any consequential losses of you not receiving mail.  Likely he's lost the key (or didn't get it back from the previous tenant), and is too tight-@rs3d to do anything about it..

TBH, you can probably find some instructional videos on youtube explaining how to open the lock.  Or just get a locksmith.  They'll probably be satisfied with the the tenancy agreement and ID.

In the mean time, gaffer tape the post box and instruct the post office to hold or redirect your mail.  There may be a fee, but not getting your mail could have serious long-term consequences for you finances if there's a bill (or parking fine) you were not aware of.

(which, incidentally, they wouldn't be liable for, but no harm in using it as a scare tactic if you like)

When you say you talk to the Landlord is this actually talk, face to face? or text, email?
Send an actual letter to the landlord demanding key or as others have suggested change lock and have your own key.

Probably not.  Was more just to concentrate their mind.
