Hi,
Sky were advertising over a year ago that they were planning on making it possible for customers to have Sky TV via their broadband, and there would be no need for a dish, but development for this seems to have gone quiet.
Does anyone know is this still happening or has Sky abandoned this idea?

No date anounced yet although Sky customers can currently access channels using Sky Go app and non Sky customers have access to some of their channels through Now TV.

No this was apparently full Sky TV via broadband, nothing to do with Sky go. Problem is I just checked my emails, and Sky were actually promoting this 2 years ago. Not sure why so prematurely when they cant deliver.pphillips said:No date anounced yet although Sky customers can currently access channels using Sky Go app and non Sky customers have access to some of their channels through Now TV.0 -
Perhaps they're focussing on getting customers onto Sky Q first.0

I had never heard of that, read it now, it's called SkyX, says if it follows Austria'
s version you won't be able to record. Can't see it taking off really when we have Q and Now TV.Old enough to know better...........0 -

You could join and ask. Generally, the answer is that it is being tested abroad and no date for introduction in the UK1 -
Isn't NowTV more or less what's offered to sky customers? Many smart TVs have NowTV installed, or you can run it via the phone app/get an HDMI stick ready to go.0
