Default not issued

Hi there,
First time poster here.
Back in 2013 I got in to some serious financial difficulties and ended up with a number of payday loans. Amongst those were two from lending stream. I subsequently was unable to pay these and they placed a default on my credit file for one of the loans, the other loan, despite being in the same state did not receive a default.
I'm 2016 I was able to get debt free again.
Now the default placed on the first lending stream loan has dropped off my credit file, but where a default wasn't placed on loan two, it is still having a negative impact and will continue to do so for over two more years.
Is there anything I can do here? They really should have defaulted the loan (there was some 17 missed payments recorded in a row on my credit file) but because they didn't my credit file will continue to suffer for another two years.
Any advice would be much appreciated, I'm looking at getting a mortgage this year and this is the only negative bit of info left from the terrible state I was in back in 2013.
Thanks in advance!

Wire to them and inform them that they should have placed a default, that’s what I had to do with HSBC£5000 left to pay on credit cards, down from 40k!!2

Thanks for the reply. I take it that worked for you? I have written to them today, I am just concerned that a company such as lending stream will not be quite as conscious as HSBC!0

Then escalate to the ICO, they have the final say.Magice2648 said:Thanks for the reply. I take it that worked for you?
