Problem with Windows Media Player

Only a learner please help. My hard drive is continually running on my laptop and i believe it to be Windows Media Player accepting music from the radio or somewhere. Can anyone please tell me how to stop it.Many Thanks.

Is Windows Media Player still running? If so can't you turn it off?
You can check by bringing up the Task Manager (By holding down Ctrl-Alt-Delete). Check that it isnt in the applications tab, then check the Processes tab for "wmplayer.exe". If it is there, select it then press end process.0 -
