Do I take this further ?

I put in a claim for PPI on a old mortgage. It was in joint names with my husband.
when I put in the PPI claim it was with just my name I did put his name on the form they sent me to fill out.
They came bk today rejecting it.
They said “whilst we do acknowledge that there may have been flaws in our sales process. I am not persuaded that any of these sales failings would have effected your decision to take out the PPI policy.
my husband was in the navy at the time abd was paid full wages if off work sick or injured ect and we did tell them we didn’t need the ppi but because I worked part time they said we wouldn’t get the mortgage other wise ect.
Anyway they say that because I had said that husband would pay the mortgage even if I was off work sick they say they have not seen any evidence from time of sales to indicate that this was actually the case ( don’t know what they mean by that the mortgage payments ect were all paid out out of my husbands own bank account all the time )
they go on to say we do not consider that financial assistance from family is in itself a creditable strategy for customers to guarantee that they are able to maintain repayment. But my husband is on the PPI policy.
Do I take this further to the Ombudman?
