Switching from Scottish Power to EON. Have SMETS2 smart meters.

We had SMETS2 smart meters installed by Scottish Power last year. Retrieval of the electricity readings worked from day 1, but it was a few months before Scottish Power could retrieve the gas meter readings. Both readings always showed on the IHD.
We are switching to EON now. Coincidentally it looks as if they use the same IHD as Scottish Power. Does anyone know if we are likely to experience problems with EON retrieving readings? Any experiences would be appreciated.

If Eon & Scottish Power have all the processes in place to transfer your meter from SP to Eon with the DCC then it should work like a dream however I fear you'll be sadly disappointed and it will take a lot longer for all the wrinkles to be ireoned outNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

I am expecting things to take a while to be sorted. I wondered if anyone had actual experience.0

Similarly, the IHDs will continue to work as before. There might be a bit of a delay immediately after the switch whilst the meter, IHD and the Data Communications Company (DCC) are updated with the new data. The DCC provides the communications infrastructure that handles the UK's smart meter data. Once these updates are done, SMETS2 meters will continue as before.Hope this explains Marmaduke123 and thanks again for joining us.Malc
