Should I let someone else continually organise my best price deals?
As I am out of the country a lot I am tempted to use one of the companies who state that they will keep you on the cheapest deal. eg. Switchcraft,We'll Pay Ypur Bills. etc
Does anyone where I can get genuine reviews on their performance or has experienced how they operate? To spend the little time I have in the UK trying to sort out the best deals is something I could do without. Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks

Those type of sites/apps will only switch you to suppliers who give them a kickback, thus you won't find yourself with the cheapest suppliers. More importantly perhaps, would you give authority to someone else to setup direct debits from your bank account on your behalf?
Why not find a decent 12 month fix once a year and stick with it? You might find a supplier using smart meters useful if you're not around often to read the meters.

What's wrong with MSE's own Cheap Energy Club? (other monitoring services are available)
Are you suggesting you are going somewhere where the wide world web is not available?

In support of this, just look at the current negative feedback on Look After My Bills (LAMB) who seem to be sending loads of customers to Together Energy, whose Customer Service is in an awful mess ,having failed to cope with an influx of customers from One Select.Talldave said:Those type of sites/apps will only switch you to suppliers who give them a kickback, thus you won't find yourself with the cheapest suppliers. It shows significantly more than any auto-switching site considers! Auto switching sites only include suppliers that they have a commission arrangement with. (so a very limited range, and some suppliers may only offer their more expensive tariffs under a comission arrangement)Gerry1 said:
It doesn't show all suppliers.
MSE, which uses MSM as their data source, includes all the suppliers and al;l the tariffs by default unless:
(a) the supplier has specifically requested not to be included on the ofgem accredited website operated by MSE (e.g. because they are new/samll and do not want to be deluged with applications)
(b) MSE/MSM are catching up with new suppliers & tariffs that are being constantly introduced/updated. Usually it's the brand new suppliers with no feedback that get pushed to the bottom of the list in priority.

This is my first post. Not sure if it’s the right place. When I use the energy comparison tool it doesn’t show the new tariffs that my existing supplier is offering me when my current tariff ends. It just shows the standard tariff I would automatically move to. Why is that?0
