Hi all, wondering if anyone might be able to offer their advice.
I have pet insurance through Tesco for my 3 year old Lab. Last year I had to make some claims for her as she became unwell. Initially it was for a urine infection, but this lead onto her having to have an operation to remover her uterus - she had a keyhole spay originally so they only took her ovaries and left the uterus. She had something like pyometra.

So now she is all well again and back to herself. Her insurance renewal has come in but it's double what it was the previous year. I don't have a lot of money and so this will really be a stretch for me. This I believe is a combination of her being a year older, having made the claims and also, as I work for tesco, my colleague 20% discount doesn't apply as it's only for the first year of the policy.

So the dilemma is, do I cancel the insurance and get a new policy for quite a bit cheaper, but then I'm not sure what she won't be covered for? The customer service woman on the phone told me all she can see if 'urine infection' on her file. So How far does that branch out to and could they link other things to that? She suggested maybe phoning my vets to see what exactly they have on her history - even then though, will that be of any help when I know already everything she's had done?

What do you think?
She's on a lifetime policy and so glad I did have her insured because her claims last year came to £4500!

Many thanks in advance
