Hi all,
I have several Samsung Wireless MultiRoom speakers which are only useable via a required App for Smartphones or Tablets (This app is required for all aspects of the speakers including setting them up, linking them to WiFi, streaming media through them etc).

I recently changed phones which runs iOS 13 and my iPad also updated to this. However, on doing so, the app is not compatible with the new iOS, leaving the speakers largely defunct. I have looked on forums, reviews on the App Store etc. to find this is a widespread issue and anyone running iOS 13 can no longer use thier speakers. I also found the app has not received any updates for well over a year.
I have contacted Samsung who were less than helpful, with me being passed between numerous departments with no resolution.
I am aware that the app is working on Android and Samsung products so it’s seems that iPhone users are being ‘discriminated’ against for not having a Samsung phone or tablet.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as if I’m unable to gain resolution, I will have around £500 of speakers that are no longer useable.
TIA

TIAFor a start, don't be so ridiculous saying you are being discimintaed against. When you purchased the speakers, did Samsung guarentee that they would work with all future operating systems updates for now and forever? You seem to be looking to blame the wrong people. Your only options are to hope that Samsung might release and update, apart from that, there is nothing much else you can do.

Products still work on Older OS .
Not Samsung's fault you changed your phone to one that is not supported.Lack of care when purchasing .Neither IPhone/ Apple nor Samsung owe you anything .Best resolution is to sell them especially as they are not defunct just your phone purchase .Or buy an old phone to run them .Its a fact of life with modern smartphones that newer OS does not work with older stuff .3 -
Get a cheap Android phone which is compatible ... problem solved for a few quid.3

Basically buying any "smart" technology is taking a risk of things becoming defunct quite quickly as things are moving on so quickly and will become outdated in no time at all. We have a number of smart devices in our home but we've purchased them on with a full understanding that there is no promise of future proofing and we may still be able to use some in 10-15 years time while others will be obsolete in just a year or two.0
