Gas Bottle purchase

Need a gas bottle for the gas BBQ. I assume I will need a contract and then pay for each refill I get.
Are all sources the same or are some places cheaper than other to get this sort of contract? We have a local garden centre but they are not normally that cheap for most things. Are B&Q better?

Check out your local paper will find some adverts in there and get some quotes, mt thinks B&Q might be pricey - but that's just a guess!2p off is still 2p off!0

I found that a local bottle gas cash and carry supplier, also Agricultural merchants, did not charge me a deposit on the bottle. 13kg of gas was £12.50. If you need a bottle you can scrounge one at the local tip/recycling place.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

My experience is that they're pretty much the same price as they're all agents of Calor. Off the top of my head I seem to recall that it's approx £25 for the cylinder then I think either £14 or £16 for filling it depending if it's a simple propane, butane or patio gas. My local garden centre did offer to waive the charge for the cylinder, but strictly they're not supposed to do that as legally you can't own it, only rent.
If you go to Calor directly, then I think they'll deliver it free (0800 662 663).I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0 -
Owing to the weather being much colder, wetter, than anticipated I had to replace my 13kg Calor cylinder while away and it cost me £16.50. So it's worth shopping around and looking though your yellow pages under "Bottled gas" though if your stuck in a freezing caravan miles from anywhere your quite prepared to pay whatever is asked. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Calor is the most expensive, and they don't like giving you free bottles either. Look for a FLO gas or HANDY gas, and save about £4 or more a bottle.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
