Item not as Described from Facebook Business Seller - Any rights?

Hi all

I recently bought an item of furniture from someone on Facebook.  He has a business and I paid from bank on receipt of an invoice from him.  The item was in much poorer condition than the photos and description indicated.  I've been in touch and he begs to differ.  Do I have any options to do anything about it?

As this was a business and it was online you have a right to a refund. If you can prove it is significantly not as described then seller would need to refund return costs, if it is treated as a change of mind return then you bear the cost.

However as you paid via a bank transfer enforcing this isn’t going to be easy, you may have to resort to small claims, assuming you have a proper geographic address. Assuming you have that address your first action would be a letter before action (LBA)
