You cannot ambush them in court , one case was lost recently for similar reasons to yours , ignoring or not reading the court orders and then submitting late witness statements2 -

You have until 4pm for it to be accepted as arriving today but for a telephone hearing, email it all to the court (their email addy is obviously Googleable). Here is an example WS to adapt, BUT THIS ONE DENIES BEING THE DRIVER SO IF THAT IS NOT TRUE IN YOUR CASE, DO NOT COPY ANY SENTENCE THAT SAYS THAT!
