EDF pre-pay electric meter, sudden price increase?
Options
Hiya everyone,
I've had an EDF pre-pay electric meter for years and we've always used about £50 over 4 weeks but the last 2 months we are now using £50 in just 2 weeks. We've not changed anything in the house or purchased any new appliances, any clues why the sudden double increase in price?

You seem to have an E7 meter. Do you have an immersion heater with a local timer that's out of kilter with the meter, e.g. after a power failure? Do you have a boost immersion heater that's accidentally been left switched on in the daytime?Without having any kWh usage figures (obtained from your own meter readings) it's not possible to see what's happening.1
