Are quotes legally binding

I own a small business and have just provided a customer with a quote for some work which he accepted by email, when I went back to him to ask him a couple of questions before I placed his order he said that his wife has now gone to get some other quotes and he will get back to me next week. Can i hold him to the quote that i provided and he accepted?

    No you can't, a quote isn't a contract
  • No
If the work is at his home you must also give him a cooling off period in writing
If the work is made to measure (such as doors and windows, curtains) then he cannot cancel.

    baldly going on...
