cheapest Gas/Electric Prepayment meter tariff
Hi, sorry if this has been addressed already, I am a student sharing a house with a mate, and we are with B.gas on Prepayment meters for both Electric and Gas. We use the central heating for about 2 hours in the morning and about 3 hours in the evening. we have 2 pc's on for about and 1-2 hours a day, with us being at university all day on week days, and the same rountine on most weekends.
We are paying about £12 per week for gas and £6 a week for Electricity, does anyone know if this seems too high.
We are getting concerned with the amount we are spending per a week on Gas/Electric and are willing to change providers if that brings the costs down. The meters are the newer ones with the Electric taking a key,and the Gas taking a card.
Any help much appreciated
Thanks in advance

As you are low users Ebico is probably best for pre-pay.
The advantage of that company is that they don't charge any more for pre-pay than any of their other tariffs which is a flat charge.
It is impossible to say if £12/£6 is OK as it depends on so many factors - size of house, insulation, how warm you like it etc etc.
In my son's student house, he and his flatmates found it easier to open the windows if it got too warm(in the first winter). The second year they found turning the heating down/off was cheaper!!!0
