On Thursday 29th I bought a lipstick on eBay from a long time seller great feedback 100%.    A week later I waited until the following Thursday messaged asking where is my item.  I got a reply saying sorry I was abroad for work and will be back at weekend and will post next day delivery.   I felt confident she would send and two days later closed the case.  Now I thought perhaps with the storms post might be delayed, but I actually bought something on Monday and it arrived yesterday.

So no sign of my lipstick today I decided to wait until today before proceeding.  The seller has never marked as posted.

Since I was an idiot and closed the case what can I do to get my money back as I feel there is little chance of my getting the lipstick?

Thank you for your assistance.

You can still open a case on paypal - this time don't close it until you receive the goods.

Thank you.   I did a contact seller again and waiting for a reply, I asked for my money refunded this time.  I am awaiting their reply.

Suddenly on her feedback, another person has had the same problem nothing send after assuring they would send.  They did get their money back but had to chase the seller.

Oh, sorry it is PayPal I need to open.  Duh!  sorry I just messaged the seller on eBay again.  I just think eBay straight away, sorry for being dumb.  Will do that now.

It never used to be possible to open both an ebay and a paypal case, but for the past few years you can. So although you have closed the ebay case erroneously a paypal INR is still possible. Just open it and leave it open until you can either escalate the case or you get your goods.

As above, keep an eye on the Paypal case and make sure you escalate it as soon as you can.  Do not close it, even if the seller says they will refund themselves.

Once a case is open never close it until the item or what ever has arrived and is in your hands.

I did not realize I was stupid but never had this happen before with eBay in over 10 years of buying.  Sometimes things a bit late and once something did get lost in the post the seller refunded me but it turned up and I paid them.
Paypal has given until the 3rd of March but I will wait until the end of February and then push it forward.
