I live in Birmingham and according to the Aldi website there are 19 Aldi stores within an 8 mile radius of my home postcode.

No,you don't, but the members of staff who are working in the store do as they will have to go and man those tills due to an increase in customers waiting to be served.

I find the till announcements heartening. They remind me what excellent customer service they have in Aldi compared to Lidl, where queues are commonplace, or Sainsburys where they're trying every way they can to get me to serve myself!5
