Morning all
Bitterly cold here with a sharp frost dd has the morning off so she will walk pip today which will give me a break from it, I am going to have a quick tidy through and then nip to the shop I need chicken and salad, tonight I shall cook a satay chicken with egg fried rice and spring rolls, satay sauce and spring rolls are bought so an easy diner.
I have a wash on the go and will hang the heavy stuff out for a while the rest can go in the TD.
TA I hope Sparkle gets on ok x
I was wondering where Specky was, I wonder if he is unable to log on like a few of us have been x
Have good days all xx9 -
Bright sun, but very cold. Bed stripped, might put the sheets and pillow cases on the line, duvet cover will have to go in the dryer, cannot lift it up to hang it out. My back is playing up just now.
Stovies last night were delicious, very bad for you because of the amount of fat but does not hurt occasionally. Enough crumble left for tonight.
I cooked beef casserole, OH has asked for dumpling, so no spuds, just veg, I make individual dumplings, we will finish off the crumble.9 -
Morning all! Up lark like again today, I'm on a roll! Cleaned out the fire, OH has hoovered, I'm girding my loins to finish cleaning the car, but even though it's sunny, it's bitter out there. My hair is now short short short, so much easier to look after, I'm also booked in for a colour next week, the grey is OK and I like it but I look really ill all the time because my face is pale too [ maybe this is in my head though because people keep telling me how well I look, although I expect they're all qualifying it in their heads with 'considering what's happened' - I mean, how are you supposed to look when you've had cancer?]Not sure what's for food today, I'm not feeling like anything at the moment although that's because I've just had breakfast. I have looked in the freezer and nothing jumped out and bit me, except maybe some sausages, so maybe a sausage casserole. This new forum is weird, I'm getting used to the style but everything seems such a faff to look at, you have to look at the first page of a thread before you can jump to the latest if you haven't already done that, the page count is at the bottom so you can't scroll that way...I dunno, just too much clicking to look at things.I'm feeling less inclined to read much and post at all. And at ten posts a page there's a lot of clicking....camelot, considering you were ill, you did quite a lot! AOD, fingers crossed for the car. TA enjoy day out, Sparkle is in good hands! snoozer, hope you getthe wording right...although it sounds like they are taking advanage for not much output...hope your situation is OK ruby and your daughter...Hey all reading along, [hey Holly and Nelski
] have a great day on I have to say, still windy Wednesday....
and a sad goodbye to JackieO....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9 -

Hello all, the sun is shining but it's still very cold.Went to Al*is this morning and bumped into an old friend. I was her volunteer helper when she ran the Girl's Brigade many moons ago, during the time DD attended. Back home and WM on but won't be putting it out on the whirly thoughNeighbour just knocked and asked for a lend of a hand saw because they are taking an old wardrobe to the tip and it won't fit in their car......... Mr Fix It to the rescue there. I have some meat from yesterday to split up and vacuum pack before trying to find some room in the freezer, which is fast becoming like the Narnia wardrobe ! I will get Mr Fix It on the machine, just to keep him occupied
There are a few items of ironing that I can't ignore any longer, so will get that done this afternoon and then Dad is coming to tea. I feel like I'm running at a million miles per hour again ! We get to do the hokey cokey tomorrow too, 'cos we'll be in an out of the house all day
TA I hope Sparkle is ok. She will probably ignore you for a while when she returns, just to show you her displeasure that you sent her to the vets ! ( my grey cat used to do it and it was like " talk to the hand " for a few hours)
Anyone seen Speky ? I'm missing my daily dose of P.E. and I need to know if i have to get my hat out of storageSending healing vibes to the poorly ones and good vibrations to the animals and cars.Take care allnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -

Oh no this new forum has a lot to answer for I know we have to change but Jackie has been posting for years i will really miss her xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.5 -
Oh no ! I wish JackieO well for the future, but I will miss her busy days of running here and there. Most of the time she put me to shame
. Take care Jackie, lots of love and hugs.
