DARWIN car Insurance - any experience yet?

For many years, after they started, I was a customer of Direct Line.

Then along came comparison sites and I saved ££s by switching or asking my renewal company to match a cheap quote.

This year I was grumbling to myself that there was not a lot in it, even though my renewal had gone up 15% (age?).

More in hope than expectation I tried Compare the Market, my 4th comparison site and up popped  "DARWIN" offering a saving of about 20%.

It seems that this is Direct Line doing an "If you cannot beat them join them exercise".

Has anyone got any experience of this new venture.

Any reason not to grab this quote?

Well, I've signed up, I will let you know how it all pans out.

The £50 saving over LV, well only £40 after haggling, and £25 less than any other insurance company I did not recognise, was enough to temp a low mileage pensioner.

You sound like me. I was with direct line for a number of years then they upped the price.  I'm with LV currently so will be interested on your experience.
