Three piece suite of Groupon

Hi before Xmas around End August I bought a leather 3 piece suite recliner off Groupon I was very impressed that I had it with in the week, I did have to pay an extra £30 for the men to build it up for me. With in a few weeks we noticed that the one corner on the 3 seater had dropped causing the recliner to catch, I contacted Groupon who contacted the seller who did not contact me. This has been going on now since end September 2019, Groupon offered me £50 compensation which I declined I have said all I want is it fixing or exchanging, they told me I could send the whole thing back once they had it they would look at refunding this, I said that this was not practical as it was a very large 3 piece suite, and all I wanted was repair or exchange, to make matters worse they were still selling the furniture which I pointed out to them. I have received one text message from the seller telling me he was away for the weekend and he would contact me on the Monday to arrange something 23 November 2019 to date he has not contacted me. Again I have been in touch with Groupon who said they would arrange to pick up all the furniture once they had it they would do a refund.
at this point I have to add my husband has vascular dementia I am his carer I have no idea what he would sit on if this happened I also don’t have the money just to go buy another 3 piece suite, which I told Groupon, again asking for repair or replacement of just the damaged 3 seater.
i forgot to say they have also had photos of the settee.
i actually don’t know what else to do as Groupon are ignoring me now
thanks for listening

They are right, they can choose the remedy. If they choose to refund you and don't want to repair or replace it, you will have to decide whether to accept a refund and buy elsewhere, or decline their offer and live with the sofa as it is. You can't impose a remedy on them and their offer to collect it and fully refund you means they're complying with consumer law.0

I'd suggest a cheap sofa from a local charity shop to tide you over and return this one for a refund.
If its anything like my local you will get a perfectly serviceable sofa for £25 delivered. Or even ask on local facebook if someone has one they are taking to the tip. You only need it whilst you source a new one.1 -
Have you found out how much it would cost to have it repaired by a local? If it's more than £50 ask Groupon to pay the extra

Was this a voucher to go to a retailer, or did groupon actually supply the sofa?Life in the slow lane0
