Hi All,
Currently I work 30 hours per week all year round. I've applied for a term time only post, 36 hours a week. If i got the job, would this trigger a mover to UC?
Current salary £15,050 on 30 hours all year
New Job £16400 on 36 hours a week term time
I have just phoned TC and they seemed to think nothing would change because my average hours over the year balance out?
Does anyone have experience or advice for me?

Changing job does not trigger a need to claim UC.
For term time workers the holiday periods are ignored and you are should be treated as if you worked 36 hours all year. See https://www.turn2us.org.uk/Benefit-guides/Working-hours-benefits-rules/Calculating-work-hours-Term-Time-Workers and https://www.gov.uk/claim-tax-credits/working-hours
Beecause your income will increase your Tax Credits May reduce next year.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -
