Hi all - I purchased some digital files a few months ago from a website and notice that my purchase was the start of a rolling monthly subscription. While the info was there, they made it all secondary info and I made the purchase in a hurry. Perhaps more foolishly I haven't been on top of my accounts due to being busy, the silly season and my wife being in hospital, so am only now catching up on housekeeping tasks. Clearly the website relies on customers like myself not noticing, and I can't help take note of the fact they have not sent a single invoice or piece of communication; not even an email acknowledging me signing up. I'm wondering if a company is legally required to do this, or if they're not required at all to send any communication. I realise I've been a bit clumsy here but thought it was worth finding out as clearly they know what they're doing!
Many thanks

What's the site and where are they based? Digital content could be from anywhere in the world and the laws on what information they have to supply, and how they supply it will depend on their local governing laws.0

If it is a CPA then they do not have to inform you each charging period that they are billing you.Life in the slow lane0

Have you checked your Spam folder for communications from them? Make sure you follow their cancellation policy rather than something daft like having your card cancelled - it won't stop a CPA.0
