Ridge tile repointing

Just had 3 quotes for replacing and repointing ridge tiles. It's  an 8m long roof. Qoutes ranged from £400 to £760. All have good reviews on mybuilder or checkatrade. How hard a job is it? Do I go for the cheaper young guns who can get the job done quickly or the more experienced and expensive guys.

As a rough rule of thumb I reject the lowest quote if it is less than about 80% of the next highest one.  Some will provide low quotes because they desperately need the job.  If that's the case you have to ask yourself why they are in that position.  I'm guessing at that price that the lowest priced isn't using scaffolding to access the roof.
