Renting Help to Buy Property Scotland

I bought a property 3 years ago using the help to buy scheme, I have read that you cannot buy a property to rent using the scheme, which I didn't do and understand that. However, my circumstances have now changed and I would like to move in with my partner. I can't sell my house as I am in a protected trust deed and if I sell before the trust deed is finished I will lose all the proceeds from the sale to pay off my debts.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get approval to rent a help to buy property due to change of circumstances? TIA

There isn't a way to get approval. You wouldn't even be allowed to leave the property empty whilst you moved in with your partner because the property bought using the scheme as to be your sole residence.joolspin said:I bought a property 3 years ago using the help to buy scheme, I have read that you cannot buy a property to rent using the scheme, which I didn't do and understand that. Your home should be your sole residence and permission to let your home will not be given in any circumstances. If you let your home or do not reside there as your sole residence then this will be a breach of the shared equity agreement and enforcement action could be taken.

I have recently sold a HTB house for that very reason. Could not afford to buy myself out of the scheme, and partner can't afford to buy bigger house without me on the mortgage.
However, I know that my neighbour in similar situation, decided to get a lodger, and thinks about selling in a year or two, when new relationship is estabilished.
