Can I get replacement part 16 months later?

I bought an ex-display wood burner from my local merchants for a reduced price. From £2500 to £1100.
The glass has just cracked and a piece since fallen off. This is only halfway through 2nd Winter of usage. The glass will cost £480 to replace and £100 to fit. 
Am I entitled to a parts replacement ree of charge from the merchant under consumer rights s it hasn't lasted as long as it should?

Not in that length of time, i presume glass is in a door,remove and take to a local specialist glass firm,i was charged £35.
Whats the make and model/

legally, you may be entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement or refund (which could be a partial refund)) but before they provide this, the retailer could insist that you prove that the breakage happened due to a manufacturing defect and wasn't because of misuse.

Thanks mobileron. Unfortunately, we have a judespejsen panoramic 1200 stove which is a tall modern design and the glass is wrapped around 2 sides hence the outrageous price for a replacement. Have tried to source it online but have had to use the manufacturer direct as nowhere I looked stock it.
