Access to credit report file

I was hoping to get some advice. Me and my partner opened a credit report file, and we got in touch with a mortgage broker, who wanted the password to have a look at the credit report. Me and my partner both thought this was strange, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is something routinely done.
Thanks in advance

My broker wanted to see my report as well - I think that's standard - but I downloaded it and sent it by email. I don't think there would be any harm in giving your broker the log in details but it's generally not good internet security to share credentials - It could simply be that it's quicker and easier for the broker to log in.
Can you confirm which credit agency you've signed up to as they all have slightly different ways to download the full report? That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Print out the report or do a PDF and email it to them. Never give someone else your login details to anything.1

Personally I wouldn't give them a password but its normal about them wanting to see it. S
Just down the PDF and email it to them.1 -
We dont proceed without copies of credit reports. We are not bothered if someone sends log in details, pdf or even a paper version but we 100% want it. Some people prefer to give us their log in details, others send us the pdf.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I've had people send me login details. Usually it's people who don't currently have a credit report account anywhere and they create one with a password as my name or something. To them it's a single use thing so don't see a problem in doing it.
The majority just send me a pdf download.
Although, have you tried to get a pdf of creditclub report when using a phone? It is not the most obvious thing in the world so I can see why folks just send the login details for it
