Let Alliance Credit Check

Does anyone have recent experience of credit referencing via let alliance. I’m about to apply for a property and was under the impression that credit checks were limited to public information (I have no ccjs or IVAs etc.), but I’ve just read that this changed last year and let alliance complete a full credit report check. I have a few defaults from a few years ago and am now concerned about the check. No issues with affordability or references, and until this point I wasn’t concerned about the credit check. Any recent experience of what is actually checked? Apologies if I’ve posted in the wrong place, first post on here.

Hi,
I'm about to do the same with Let Alliance, just wondering how you got on with the check?0 -
There is a thread about this on the Credit Files board. Let Alliance claim that they do a full hard credit search but I think that's !!!!!!. TransUnion, the credit reference agency Let Alliance use paint a different picture of what's available to letting agents on their website.

How did you get on with this @alexshroppy & @Steve0808?I’m having the same issue now, let alliance have told me a full hard check will be done however myself and my wife have around 10 defaults were paying off monthly. Will this stop us getting the house?0

I completed checks with let alliance last week. I opted to complete my application with open banking. Which meant they gained access to my bank transactions for the past 12 months. I did not provide any other documents for example payslips ect.The only other requirement was to provide my current tenancy agreement. My partner opted not to use open banking and within 24 hours of submitting his application (3 months payslips and bank statements) they contacted his employer. Overall I think open banking is faster and simple. They didn't contact my employer because I used opening banking. The process was completed within a week.I think it would have been faster if my landlord responded to them immediately. I hope this helps anyone who's doing checks with them.

Is anyone able to tell how they got on with this please? Similar issue however I will not be opting for the online banking as will not allow this. Happy to provide 3 months bank statements myself but have two defaults, 3 years old, do these show up on their credit search? The application form with the estate agents asked if I had ccj etc and I have not but I didn’t realise until searching let alliance after that they do a full hard check and can see defaults. Anyone please?0

@Kim_K91 can I ask, you mention that your partner opted out of the banking which is what I am going to do, what did they do for his credit check? Did they just search it or did he have to send them it? Also, did you have any defaults, really worried I won’t pass the check0
